~"A" Challenge Of Laws~
Akane stomped over to Ranma and hit him with her hammer.
"Ack, why did you do that, you tomboy?" Adjusting his neck, Ranma glared at the youngest Tendo sister.
"As if you didn't already know, baka!" And with that Akane stormed back into the living room.
"Absolutely nuts," Ranma angrily grumbled over and over to himself as he stormed out of the door.
"As if I spend any time, even thinking about that, that...bitch."
Automatically ashamed for speaking such a word even if it was true, Ranma glanced around to make shure no one had heard him. Absolutely no one was in sight and he knew that the middle Tendo sister was off to Kyoto for the weekend. Accepting his good luck, Ranma happily headed off to find some decent food.
Arriving at the Cat Café Ranma was surprised to see a duck scratching at the door with its feathered wings. Assuming rightly that the duck was Mousse in his cursed form, Ranma was troubled by what he saw. Assuming a hidden position close by, Ranma stopped to watch.
After watching for about thirty seconds, Ranma saw Shampoo appear gloating on the other side of the glass door. An evil look was on Shampoo's face, like nothing that Ranma had ever seen before. Animosity dripped from her every pore as she said something to the duck that Ranma was unable to hear.
Anguish personified was the only word that Ranma could think to describe the defeated form of the duck that slowly turned away from the Café.
Alright, It's time to get some answers, Ranma thought to himself. Accosting the duck for answers would be futile until they got some hot water. Acquiring the duck was easy, Mousse did not put up any fight. Anticipating the upcoming talk with dread, Ranma feared the worst.
Arriving at a random coffee shop, Ranma ordered some tea. Aquatic curse neutralizer soon arrived at their table. Armed with the hot beverage, Ranma splashed the duck in front of him.
Accomplishing his first goal, Ranma was not happy to see the way that Mousse hunched over in spiritual pain.
Acutely aware of his foot in the mouth syndrome, Ranma slowly dug in his mind for the accurate words to start this.
After a few hesitant starts they started to talk, it wasn't long before they started to argue. .
"Arguing about this will not get us any where, Mousse what can I do for you?"
"As If you would care." Attempting to leave, Mousse was stopped by a concerned look from Ranma.
"Ahh, Mousse, give me a chance. At least tell me what you need to keep this death penalty off of you." Articulating his words clearly Ranma hoped that Mousse would hear more than just the words and understand the offer of help.
"Assuming that the laws hold true, I would need to get married in the next twenty-four hours."
"Amazon laws tell you who you can marry?" Attempting to get more information form Mousse, Ranma took one of Mousse's hands into his.
"Absolutely. An acceptable person must have defeated the amazon warrior in battle, then the amazon must marry the person that defeated them. A number of Amazons defeated by the same person must allow that person to choose an Amazon to marry." As if he was reading from the book, Mousse rattled off the Law perfectly.
"Are the laws gender specific on either end?" Asked Ranma.
"As far as I have read, no." Alerted by the grin on Ranmas face, Mousse got a feeling that Ranma was planning something.
"Alright, problem solved." After that Ranma leaned back in his seat with a huge grin on his face. "All we have to do is get married."
Appraising the male in front of him, Mousse came to the conclusion that Ranma was serious.
"Are you sure you want to do something like that Ranma? As soon as we sign the documents it can never be changed."
"As sure as the sun sets every day. All my life I have been looking for something, someone, and I think that someone is you. Accustomed as I have become to denying my true feelings, I have never forgotten them. Akane and the rest of the girls hold no interest for me, never have. All along I have been living a lie, and I don't want to live that lie if it means losing you."
Accepting what Ranma was saying as the truth, Mousse reached out and took Ranma's hands and brought them up to his lips. A light kiss to Ranmas hands sealed the bargain. Anticipating their life together Mousse ushered a vibrant Ranma from the coffee shop.
