Title: Conqueror Confused
Author: Bill the Radish
Part: 1/1
Warnings: Ranma thinking/acting OOC, a bit o' weirdness but that's it. ^^; I think.
Disclaimer: Ranma, Ryouga and all others who occupy their crazy world do not belong to me. ::wail:: The following is only my twisted imagination playing with an idea and I make no money off of it. Besides that, I'm a broke student that spends almost all of her money on anime so give a radish a break ne? Please don't sue. ^^
Summery: Ryouga finally defeats Ranma with surprising results. Ranma's POV.
Pairing: Ryouga/Ranma
Archive: Yes to RRyaoi, anyone else please tell me where first. ^_~
C&C: Please! I don't write first person often and I'd love suggestions for improving this style! ^^ Although random comments of approval are also welcomed with widely open arms.
Notes: I've recently become addicted to a new author (Octavia Butler, awesome books!) and only *just* noticed that she's been writing from first person POV. This is even odder than you think as I usually don't like that POV and would normally have noticed it right off the bat. o.o Anyway, this fic was inspired by me deciding to try a first person POV closer to her style and a half forgotten memory of a plotbunny inspired by one of my own fics. ^^; Very sad that...
Ehh... I'll stop rambling now. ^_~ Enjoy!

Falling never felt this good. Shouldn't feel this good.
It's strange, you'd think I'd be upset over something like this. I've been beaten. Twice. Ryouga had finally managed to learn a technique that could defeat me and now he's perched over my prone form, smirking.
I think, for the first time, I'm actually interested in something.
None of the others posed this kind of challenge. Sure, I'd been beaten before by other enemies but...I always figured out how to defeat *them* afterward. This was my second match against this particular trick and...I lost. It had always felt...wrong before. How can being defeated feel right?!? I don't know but it does now for some reason. Maybe it was just always meant to happen this way.
Hmm... Ryouga's smirk is starting to look a little uncertain. A smirk of my own tries to surface but I pull it back with a little effort. I think I finally know what I want. Can't spoil it by giving him doubts. Instead I need a look of wide eyed shock and... "You beat me."
The smug, self-satisfied light enters Ryouga's eyes again and again, I have to pull back my automatic smirk. I hadn't noticed it had gotten so habitual.
"I beat you."
Such a nice voice. Smooth with arrogance but with an underlying hint of wonder that proves everything else to be just a show. I might not have even heard it in his voice if the wonder wasn't quite so bright in his eyes. It warms them from the inside, softening his face with a happiness I know is all too rare.
It's almost too bad I have spoil that.
"Now what?"
Ah, the familiar blank look of confusion. This time, I can't help but smirk. "So, you finally have me and you don't know what to do with me?"
The last bit came out as a purr, I hadn't intended that but I like the results. A light flush decorating most of his face and his body temperature went up. I can feel the heat through his legs pinning mine to the ground and his hands wrapped securely around my upper arms, see it in his face. Just one tiny little bead of sweat trickling down from his temple.
"Uhhh..."
He's so cute when he's confused, more pliable too. Brown eyes finally empty of hostility flash with alarm when I easily shrug his left hand off my arm, unbalancing him momentarily. I don't even have to think before I'm supporting him again, this time with *my* hand on *his* shoulder holding him up. He looks more than a bit surprised, stunned would be a good word for it I think, but I can't really blame him. He has no idea what I'm thinking.
Ryouga pulls himself up off my supporting hand, his right hand sliding down my arm to rest just above my wrist, and stares down at me in confusion. I wonder if he knows he's drawing swirls on my forearm as he thinks.
Poor boy, he really doesn't stand a chance.
"You're so cute when you're confused."
He goes back into shock and it doesn't take much to wrap my free arm around Ryouga's waist and pull myself up to lick that tempting drop of sweat that finally trickled it's way to his cheek. Apparently, that simple little gesture was enough to shock him *out* of shock and he pulls away from me with a loud cry that could be a shout of anger or a cry of distress. It's probably both, possibly more.
Ryouga's weight and support are gone and I fall back to the ground with what I just know is a goofy grin on my face. I can still taste him; salt, dust, a faint tang of blood and old pine. That one little lick could make me an addict. I want more and, whether he knows it or not, so does Ryouga. I just have to wait for him to come back. Wait for him to defeat me again.
I never knew it could feel so good to fall...
